thanks for the interest.. working on this project with a mate who has been running a pedal assist system based on 300W. Is an absolute blast to ride and because he has the power output on non drive-side can still be ridden like a normal bike.. unlike most other systems which interfere with the drivetrain.. dude in the ego kits vid may as well be riding a motor bike.. I guess our idea is to find a way to make the system quick release and non-invasive so that you can use it to commute further afield to the trail head with out the use of car.. then once your there quickly unclip the motor, stash in the woods.. session your trails in regular bike mode.. clip motor back on and cruise back home. Of course many engineering challenges to overcome to make it possible.. long term project!

Yeah, but your man-cave lies at the bottom of a sweet trail.. cool how you roll straight in to your crib at the end of a ride.

Ego kits is cool but not easily removable also drive side attachment means it messes with the bicycles natural machinations.. non drive attachment would allow the system to be completely removable with out messing with the bikes gearing etc.

good question menon.. sorting out a quick release mount system strong enough to handle torque forces from the motor is a major challenge to overcome.. and key to the whole concept being viable or not.
